A Shelter In The Storm

Description

While I was photographing a tree, I turned around and saw this little fellow under a bush. I walked around the bush, taking photos from all angles and he never moved. Loved this shot the best.

It reminds me that Jesus is our shelter in the storms of life.

So, first off I want to say that the composition is really visually pleasing on this piece (as I stated in the comment). The texture and color on the ground is clashing in a very beautiful way compared to the snow- and the broken twigs in front of the rabbit is a very nice moment. One thing I do want to say though, is that the branches (though nice) are a little bit busy, and I can't help but be more sucked into them than the actual animal- which is a problem since the rabbit is the subject of this photograph. In the future, just be more aware that even if it's in the center, doesn't necessarily mean that the subject is going to be obvious. I'm aware it was a spur of the moment thing, but I do wish that you had gotten less of the tree it was under and more of it. Now, I don't mean disregarding the tree in the photo, I just mean making sure it doesn't take up so much of the picture.

Overall, though, this is a nice picture, and it was a really great opportunity that nature gave you to do. If you're interested in animals and whatnot in photography, I'd suggest tracking and setting up spots around the woods to practice more.
